Cookie Policy
In plain terms: QuizAtlas doesn't have accounts or logins. We use Google Analytics to see which quizzes get traffic, and Cloudflare for basic security. We don't run ads or sell your data. Taking a quiz opens Cletica in a new tab, which has its own privacy policy.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They can be set by the site you're visiting (first-party) or by a service the site relies on, like an analytics or security provider (third-party). QuizAtlas is a static content site: you can browse and take quizzes without creating an account or signing in.
2. Cookies we use
QuizAtlas uses a small number of cookies, all listed below. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share cookie data with advertisers.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics (GA4) | Distinguishes visitors and sessions so we can see aggregate traffic and which quizzes are popular | Up to 2 years |
__cf_bm and similar | Cloudflare | Security and bot protection for the site; strictly necessary | Session / short-lived |
3. Why we use analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand which quiz topics and categories get traffic, so we know what to build more of. We look at aggregated numbers, not individual visitors: page views, which quiz was viewed, country, and device type. Analytics data is not linked to a name, email, or account, since QuizAtlas doesn't have any.
Google acts as a data processor for this analytics data. You can read Google's own policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
4. Cletica and other third-party links
Every quiz on QuizAtlas links out to Cletica, the platform where you actually answer the questions, opening in a new tab. Cletica is a separate product with its own accounts, cookies, and Privacy Policy — this Cookie Policy covers QuizAtlas only, not what happens once you land on Cletica.
5. Managing or disabling cookies
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings — this won't stop you from browsing or taking quizzes on QuizAtlas, since none of our cookies are required for the site to function.
- Most browsers let you block third-party cookies or all cookies in their privacy settings.
- To opt out of Google Analytics specifically across all sites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Blocking cookies may affect how well the security protection on this site works.
6. Children's privacy
QuizAtlas doesn't collect names, emails, or any personal information directly — there's nothing to sign up for. The analytics cookies described above are not directed at children and don't knowingly identify anyone by age.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as QuizAtlas changes. The "Effective date" above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
